Bite The Kerb – Looking for a Drummer
It is our very sad news to announce the departure of our drummer Jim, he has decided he will be leaving the band due to personal reasons and we all wish him the best of luck in the future and thank him for his time spent with Bite the Kerb.
So now the search begins for the next BTK member……
Established act, Bite The …Kerb, are looking for a drummer to complete the lineup. signed to local label MAS records, BTK have started work on thier debut E.P, and have many shows lined up over the next six months, including 2 festival dates.
BTK have thier own lockup, and recording facility so some financial commitment is required. (not expensive)
influences include; stone sour, fear factory, sevendust, slaves to gravity, mnemic, karnivool, and many more.
check out our website for videos and mp3′s
www.myspace.com/bitethekerbukWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
you must have your own transport, be commited enough to play more than 1 show a week, have all your own gear. Have a high standard of playing, and be willing to push your capabilities to the limit. double bass pedal work is a must, and you must be able to do it to a high and acurate standard.
practice/recording sessions are on sundays for 5 hours, so you need to be available for this, plus any gigs we have booked that week.
if you think your the person for the job then don’t hesitate to get in touch for an audition!!!
Cheers
BTK
Quotes
The lyrics are mainly based in fantasy, and try to convey a larger concept, peppered with metaphors that hint at some very personal events and feelings.
— Ruptured Souls, The Furious Horde, http://bit.ly/HyfPUxThe underlying theme is through the discovery of truth we find ultimate hopelessness. Each song explores death in a different context and theme.
— Voldamares, Eclipse Eternal, http://bit.ly/Hv2kYEEven when all seems fine Plaag will still be around to do a little tormenting here and there...
— Somber von Plaag, Plaag, http://bit.ly/IvTyW2I am personally still a CD buyer and probably always will be. I like having the physical artwork in my hands. Mp3’s to me are not very attractive because I feel I’m not getting my money’s worth.
— Will, Vesperian Sorrow, http://bit.ly/Hx69gWI think more bands should prioritize exposure over sales. The more exposure, the more sales. Be it ticket sales, album sales, or merch sales. That’s the way I see it.
— Necrol, Secrets She Kept, http://bit.ly/HEaNHXWe don’t adhere to any specific writing style. If something works, it gets improved, then it gets used!
— Gideon, Crow Black Sky, http://bit.ly/InizpyI think illegal downloading is fine if you download just to listen, and if you like it, you buy it. If you don’t like it, delete it off your computer.
— Mike Priest, Absence of the Sacred, http://bit.ly/IGNpWkCryptic Throne is a dark shamanic ritual. An entity which exists for the Primordial Thursian Worship of Dark Germanic Heathenism.
— Abyssous, Cryptic Throne, http://bit.ly/IlJsYsYou give me a stage and you will see the difference between Nokturnel and most other bands.
— Tom Stevens, Nokturnel, http://bit.ly/Injd6y...so now we’re thinking about the next step. And don’t worry. When we hit the road, I guarantee we won’t miss the UK!
