Freebie of the Week: Harasai
In case you’re not familiar with the concept of “Freebie of the Week”, here’s a brief explanation… Each week I go on a little hunt through the vast wastelands of the Internet in search of FREE and LEGAL downloads. So, all of the downloads featured here will be obtainable through trustworthy means… and they’ll be guilt-free. For example, I will only ever feature music available from official band websites, profiles (such as MySpace, Reverbnation or Facebook) and Last.fm (or equivalent).

Harasai are a Melodic Death Metal band from Germany. They are currently working on their new album, “Psychotic Kingdom”, but they have been kind enough to give us a track for FREE while we wait!

Info:
HARASAI from Essen (Ruhr Area, Germany) is a five-piece metal act which embodies the creative symbiosis of melancholy, aggression and beautiful melodies since the rainy days of April 2006. With the help of the first three Demo CD’s (“My Lake Of Terror”, 2006, “Begotten”, 2007 & “Into Oblivion”, 2008) HARASAI got the chance to play shows nearly every weekend and finally got a support slot for legen…dary US Thrashers SLAYER as well as AMON AMARTH and TRIVIUM at the Unholy Alliance Chapter III.
Following that, the band kept on destroying stages all over Germany, played the first time in a foreign country and started to write, plan and organize the production of the debut album. The band entered the CKB studio in the legendary Zeche Carl in Essen-Altenessen to record “The I-Conception”, which was mixed and mastered by Dan Swanö at his Unisound studio in Örebro, Sweden.
The album was released in July 2010 via Firefield Records and Twilight Distribution and is HARASAI’s key to the global world of Metal. Since then the band shared stage with international heroes such as INSOMNIUM, GHOST BRIGADE, DESTRUCTION and VADER, played a succesfull east-european Tour through Poland and left screaming crowds longing for more.
In 2011 these highly talented guys will add the next chapter to their own band history: the recording of album number two, entiteled “Psychotic Kingdom”, a blackened concept album about the end of humanity. This time production duties will be handled at several local studios.

Line-Up:
