Loucifer Speaks Wiki – Beta Launch | Loucifer Speaks
Bloodstock Open Air

Loucifer Speaks now has its own wiki… Yay! Click here to check it out!

The idea of this wiki is for it to provide information to both bands and fans alike. Over time, I hope that there will be information about gig promoters from each country, metal-friendly venues, information about photographers so that bands can get those perfect promo shots, decent labels and a whole lot more. Also, I want to encourage bands to add themselves so that their fans can read up on them and potential fans can find out about them.

Since this is a wiki, information can be provided by ANYONE. This does mean that a lot of moderation will need to be done (mostly by me and a trusted few), but I’m pretty sure that we’re all reasonably well-behaved here. Like I said, anyone can start or edit a page – you just need to log in first.

Here’s a few examples of the kind of things we want to see on here:

There’s not much on there at the moment, but I’m sure we can fix that pretty quickly ;)

Quick Start Guide

Wanna start a page on our wiki? Follow these simple steps…

  1. Make sure that you’re logged in (or click here to create an account).
  2. Search for your band (or whatever you want to make a page for), as someone else may have been awesome and already started one.
  3. If the page already exists and you want to change something on it, just click on the ‘edit’ link on the right-hand side. If it doesn’t exist click on the Create the page “[your search]” on this wiki! and get typing!

Important Note: When starting new pages, please make sure that your title is capitalised (so Cannibal Corpse not cannibal corpse).

Formatting Text

You can format text by using the buttons available. See below:

Adding an image

Here’s where things can complicated. Before you can add an image to your page, you will need to upload it. To upload an image, click on the Upload File link in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.

Once your image is uploaded, you can then add it to your post. When you’re in the edit screen, click on the “Embedded File” button. This will add the following code to your post:

Change “Example.jpg” to the name of your file. By default, the image will be displayed pretty big – if you would like to change it to a thumbnail-sized image, just add |thumb to the code. See below for a better example.

This guide can also be found on the wiki itself – please click here.

And that’s all for now!
