Long time coming, this review.
Well, let's dive right in then! This album doesn't disappoint, but it doesn't amaze, I'll say that now. Its a fairly consistent album, with a healthy mix of Howard's truly amazing singing, combined with his great screaming. Musicaly, its above average, heavy, but at times nice and slow, soft, even. Some of the songs feel like they would work as a ballard, but most are definatley heavy metal material! As a Special Edition, it comes with bonus songs, being Be One to the cover of Ronnie James Dio's Holy Diver.

The main flaw with this otherwise impressive album, is that without these bonus tracks, it suffers. Almost everyone has heard My Curse, even if its from Guitar Hero III. But the people who buy this over the regular edition will want these 4 songs, plus maybe the DVD extras (more on them later). Recent Wrestling fans should recognise This Fire, it being WWE/ECW's CM Punk's entrance theme. And if anyone says they didn't know Killswitch covered Holy Diver, I will slap them. Its the 4 bonus songs that carry the special edition above the regular.

Also included is a second disc, a DVD, with it are the amazing videos for both My Curse and Holy Diver, as well as Arms of Sorrow. It also has a 'making of' for My Curse and Arms... But while they don't make this album any better, they don't make it worse. Who buys an album for a small DVD?

This album is good, don't get me wrong, but it feels that without the bonuc material, it is only really suitable for the pile of CDs you buy, listen to, and forget.
