Review

Lobotomy Every now and then I discover an album that hooks me from the very beginning. Every now and then I discover an album that reaffirms my faith in metal. "Born In Hell" by Lobotomy is one of those albums.
If it wasn’t for a bit of last minute bidding on eBay a couple of weeks ago, there’s a large chance that I would have never even heard this band. Luckily, I won the bid and now the album has it's own nice little spot in my ever-growing music collection.

Lobotomy hail from Sweden and they play a mixture of Death and Thrash Metal that is absolutely addictive and there's more than a small nod to all those old school DM bands that I love so much.
Each track here is brilliant, although I would have liked more of a variation in tempo from song to song. My favourite tracks on this album are "Bed Of Flies", "Burden Of Sin" (check out the bass!), "Scream For Me" and "Ashes".

Lobotomy officially split in 2000, but fortunately for us it looks like two of the members (Lars Jelleryd and Daniel Strachal) will be making music together again because they have recently formed a band called Duelbarrel.
