Nation Beyond Instantly kicking off with eerie clips from US warlord George W Bush & his staff and sporting a deeply military feel to their sound, Swedish metallers Nation Beyond come across as rigid and very well structured, heavy but severely precise. This band is a master of building up suspense with their music which on the whole is rather orchestral and powerful, despite its slow tempo and the fact that it never seems to take off (Think of the film The Shawshank Redemption's pace and quality and apply to Nation Beyond) Technically superb all round and as a summary, this frankly felt more like a West End musical than a band's album. Quite a concept really ... A Metal Musical! Very enjoyable!
