Pretty good turnout for a fairly unknown band in Rise To Remain, who were absolutely fantastic and outplayed The Haunted by miles that night. I'd definitely go and see them again. Had a nice few circle pits going too.
A respectable turnout for The Haunted who were relatively new to most people there. I'd like to see one of their shows where they're the ones being supported. A full set would've been excellent.
Turnout for Trivium was huge for such a small venue, and my god it was so intense.
Trivium's Setlist:
Kiristue Gomen
Becoming The Dragon
Insurrection
Like Light To Flies
Pillars Of Serpents
A Gunshot To The Head of Trepidation
Into The Mouth Of Hell We March
Broken One
Ember To Inferno
Throes Of Perdition
For Whom The Bell Tolls (Metallica Cover)
Down From The Sky
Rain
Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr
Say what you will about Trivium but they can put on a show. Coming from a guy who's been at the very front of an Iron Maiden crowd, the front of a DevilDriver crowd, and the front of a Nevermore crowd, I can safely say this was the most insane crowd ever. When Matt Heafy screamed the opening lyrics to "Kirisute Gomen", I feared for my life. The place went INSANE.
I througoughly enjoyed the gig, and I was VERY impressed with Rise To Remain, and I enjoyed The Haunted, but their sound wasn't great, on the night.
Best Songs Of The Night:
"Moronic Collosus" - The Haunted
"Kirisute Gomen" - Trivium
"Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr" - Trivium
"A Gunshot To The Head Of Trepidation" - Trivium
"For Whom The Bell Tolls" - Trivium
...and a few by Rise To Remain but I don't know the names of them. :D
Even if you don't particularly like Trivium, I urge you to catch one of their shows.
