Ditchcreeper

Ditchcreeper is another project that has come bursting from the mind of Artisian genius Iain Miro. The two tracks I've heard are big, sick, nasty and sound just about ready to tear you a brand new arsehole! Lovely stuff! But, rather than have me babble on about them, I thought it would be better if Iain did the talking... (by the way, just a word of advice... never mention the words "cover version" in his company... it gets scary! lol).

Lou: Hails! Thanks for agreeing to the interview! Your MySpace page is rather cryptic so for the benefit of the readers of Loucifer Speaks, please could you tell us who is in the band (although I know one member! haha)?

Iain: Iain - Vox
Ben - Drums
Jamie - guitars
Fed - Bass

Lou: How long has Ditchcreeper been together?

Iain: I was an idea I had and was chewing over for 3 years, but Ben the Artisian drummer had some friends I heard play with other bands, and decided they were the right fit for the project.

Lou: Can you describe Ditchcreeper's music in 5 words?

Iain: WE ARE BRUTAL SLAMMING DEATH

Lou: Which bands have been the most influencial to you?

Iain: Devourment, Deeds of Flesh, Dying fetus

Lou: "Rotting Repugnancy" is a great track (and my favourite of the two on your MySpace page), so I was wondering if the album had been released yet and, if so, where can we buy it from?

Iain: It will be released in the summer on Pathologically Explicit Records.

Lou: What's your favourite track from the album and why?

Iain: CUNT PUSS - it really slams, mega brutal and it has my favourite lyrics.

Lou: What sort of subjects have you written about on the album?

Iain: Murder, mass murder, male rape and STD'S

Lou: I read that the artwork was created by Vincent Locke (Cannibal Corpse). How did you set that one up?

Iain: He liked the music and asked to do it.

Lou: That artwork would look awesome on a t-shirt.... Do you have any plans to get any printed?

Iain: They are currently for sale lou ... DOH!!! lololol

Lou: Which horror movie should have it's soundtrack replaced with your stuff?

Iain: Japanese version of 'The Ring'

Lou: Do you have any gigs planned for the near future?

Iain: 19th March in Guildford, Deathfeast with Vital remains and Devourment in Germany. Please check the myspace for all dates www.myspace.com/ditchcreeper

Lou: What is a Ditchcreeper gig like?

Iain: Hot. Brutal, loud, slamming, watch teh video we have on teh website..

Lou: Have you, or would you, ever work any cover versions into your set? If so, which ones? If not, why not?

Iain: No way, covers are a mortal sin to me, I'd rather sit in my own piss. Write it yourself or put the original on a cd player. GAH...HOW CAN YOU ASK THAT SHIT!!!!

Lou: Which band (or bands) would you most like to tour with and why?

Iain: Cannibal Corpse, to steal their crowd

Lou: Which bands should reform and which should split up?

Iain: If you split, leave it dead. All Emo and fashion/fringe core should split, all boy bands and pop punk.

Lou: I understand that you played at the Grindethic Records Xmas Bash in December 2008, how did the gig go?

Iain: Very well

Lou: How did you end up being signed to Pathologically Explicit Recordings?

Iain: We sent a cd, they shot their muck in their pants, and offered us a cum covered contract. We wiped the ejaculation off the paper and signed it, posted it back and sat with smelling salts to neutralise the smell.

Lou: What have you got planned for 2009?

Iain: Lots. Please watch the site. lololl
