Metalwork is part of the Loucifer Speaks site (as you can probably tell from the URL!).

The Loucifer Speaks site consists of a Metal/Rock Webzine (which can be found here), a forum and, now, a social network.

Why the Social Network?
Well, following a small amount of research, I discovered that some people preferred forums, while others preferred social networks. I guess that was to be expected since not everyone is the same! So, Loucifer Speaks now tries to cater for all – we’ve got the forum for you forumites, and a social network for those of you that prefer social networks. The idea of Loucifer Speaks is to spread the word about decent Metal/Rock bands, so the more ways we have to do this – the better!

Do I have to be a member of both the forum and the social network?
Nope, you can be a member of either… or both! We don’t mind! Whatever floats your boat!

What kinda name is “Metalwork”?
Well… it’s a bit of a random one that popped into my head one day… This is a social network for Metalheads… “MetalSocialNetwork” didn’t sound all that good… and “MetalNetwork” was a little dull, so I went with “Metalwork”. It kinda works.
