In case you’re not familiar with the concept of “Freebie of the Week”, here’s a brief explanation… Each week I go on a little hunt through the vast wastelands of the Internet in search of FREE and LEGAL downloads. So, all of the downloads featured here will be obtainable through trustworthy means… and they’ll be guilt-free. For example, I will only ever feature music available from official band websites, profiles (such as MySpace, Reverbnation or Facebook) and Last.fm (or equivalent).

Info:
Thurisaz began as a quartet in May 1997, with Peter on guitar and grunts, Mattias on guitar and screams, Pepijn on drums and Lars on bass. In 1999 they were joined by Kobe on synths, an event that defined the sound of Thurisaz in the stages to come. After several demo’s, the band released it’s first full-album “Scent of a Dream” in 2004. The album sums up the best Thurisaz has to offer: very variated, high standard avantgarde doom-metal with lots of emotion and depth. The reviews were really amazing and no one could really understand why this band hadn’t been signed yet.
By that time their growing live reputation gained access across the borders, which finally resulted in a European tour with doomlegends Novembers Doom (US) and Saturnus (DK). Soon after the tour the band signed a labeldeal with Shiver Records, who will be releasing two albums.
In the winter of 2006 Thurisaz crashed the studio again to record their second masterpiece “Circadian Rhythm”, which was released by Shiver in april 2007. The album was critically well acclaimed throughout the metalpress and confirmed the bands status as an upcoming European metaltalent. Currently the band is promoting the album as much as they can, with as highlights the US-tour and a spot on the prestigious Graspop Metal Meeting.
Line-Up:
Peter Theuwen: Grunts, clean voice and guitars
Mattias Theuwen: Screams, guitars
Pepijn De Raeymaecker: Drums
Kobe Canniere: Keys, clean voice
Hannes Leroy: Bass

Attackhead Update
Attackhead Thrash Metal from SAN BERNARDINO, CA. first interviewed by Loucifer Speaks in 2009, has recently returned from a performance at Pre Hell and Heaven Metal Fest in Guadalajara Mexico on Oct 27th 2012. Hell and Heaven Metal Festival is currently the only open air metal festival in Mexico. The Festival is dedicated to metal, but tries to balance genders like: Heavy, Glam, Metalcore, Thrash, Speed, Death, Black and Industrial metal. Attackhead will return in May 2013 for Hell and Heaven Fest. The lineup will include Attackhead as well as headliners Motorhead, Anthrax and Heathen.

Singer and lead guitarist Mark Chapman said “This was our first time in Mexico and we were very excited to get down there and perform for our fans”. Attackhead is promoting their latest release “Voices in the Dark – Second Attack” which was remixed/mastered and released in August 2011. The album was also released on classic vinyl in February 2012. The Mexico tour is being sponsored by Dunlop, Spear Guitars, Coffin Case, Tsunami Cables, Rock and Roll Gangstar apparel and Meteoro Amplifiers. The band will be promoted by 918 Management in Mexico with US Promotion by Echo Eyes Touring and Management.
The band and Loucifer Speaks have experienced growth since their initial interview. Over the years, magazine editor Lou Yardley have continued to check in and show support as the U.S. metal band developed. As Attackhead prepares to for their first tour to Europe, its appropriate to give a shout out to the “Loucifer Speaks” and Lou Yardley.
Upon their return from Mexico, Attackhead will be scheduling a July 2013 tour in Europe with performances in England, Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria and Belgium. Later in the fall 2013, Attackhead is confirmed an East Coast U.S. Rock Harvest 2 Festival in support of Fallen Blue.

DOWNLOAD BEHOLDER’S 2 TRACK EP FREE TODAY!!
Here’s a little message from the guys in Beholder:
As we release the ‘Profit of The Lie’ free download and build up towards the full release of ‘The Order of Chaos’ we’re offering up our very own 12 days of Christmas. From today, and coming at you each day on the run up to Christmas, we’ll be posting giveaways, viewpoints (sometimes controversial), and our take on what really is going on in the world at large and not the glitter encrusted dross that forces us to drape tinsel and wear a hideous festive jumper.
Partly humorous and certainly with a degree of Beholder cynicism, these posts will build into the perfect lyrical alternative to the 12 days of Christmas Carol – so keep em peeled and tell ya friends – then you can all sing your little hearts out on Christmas day along with winning free goodies including T-Shirts, Hoodies, Hang out with the band at a free show of your choice and a guitar courtesy of our good friends at Dean Guitars-uk.

The Naked Show – “Exposed”
I’ve been meaning to review this album for a while – so I’d like to start by apologising to the band for how long it has taken to get this review online.

“Exposed” is a guitar-driven rock / metal album oozing with charisma. It also has a ‘live in the studio’ feel… which is odd since there are only two people in The Naked Show. Perhaps they’re mutants with the ability to play multiple instruments at once? Yes, that must be it… it’s the only logical explanation. Those particular mutants are Mathias Donoso and Dan Gallar (you may know Mr Gallar from Nephwrack).
The first track, conveniently called “Opening”, had be a little bit worried. You see, as far as I’m concerned there wasn’t a lot to hook me in with this track. It’s a real slow burner and – as it turns out – gives no real indication as to what the band are actually capable of doing. However, everything changes when “Burning” fights its way through your speakers. From here on out, the band is on top form. Catchy riffs and scorching vocals are the order of the day and this album really has you reaching for the volume dial, making you want to turn it up as far as it’ll go.
Once “Opening” is out of the way, the album is an album of highlights. “Indhi” (the lead guitar is sublime), “Paint it Black” (this cover is awesome!) and “Walls” are especially worthy of note. Also, “Down” starts off fairly ballady (yes, that’s a word) then toughens up into something awesome.
At times there are touches of Metallica, at others hints of Faith No More, but – despite being reminded of these bands, The Naked Show manage not to sound like anyone except themselves.
Fantastic stuff!
