Shush is a female-fronted alt rock band from London. I’ve had the pleasure of owning their EP for quite a while now, and now they’re back with their debut full-length.

This album is a gutsy performance and the band aren’t afraid to take a few risks. There is a strong Punk influence teamed up with Pop Rock running throughout the CD, but Shush are happy and confident enough to deviate from that path whenever they see fit.

There are plenty of decent tracks here, but I feel that the title track and “Miss Bunny” deserve a special mention. The melodies for both of them have taken up residence in my brain! And, “You Will Never Get” is either insanity or genius – but I love it either way!

On the whole, “Soundtrack Of My Life” is an upbeat album full of catchy hooks and is perfect for brightening up even the darkest of days. Seriously, I find it impossible to listen to this album and be in a bad mood. It should be made available on the NHS.
